The SCholars Program is a collaborative initiative between the Jack Kent Cook Foundation, the University of Southern California (USC), and local community colleges. The program’s primary focus is to identify high-achieving community college students and encourage them to transfer to selective public and private research universities. In addition to assisting students through the transfer process, upon matriculation to USC, this unique program offers a variety of support services designed to meet the academic, emotional, and social needs of transfer students from local community colleges. Through the SCholars Program, the Jack Kent Cook Foundation and the University of Southern California aim to support the continued academic success of each participant, thereby increasing access to the nation’s leading colleges and universities for first generation, low- to moderate- income and underrepresented students.
