Graduate Student Services

El Centro Chicano also offers services to our graduate student population. A bulletin board is located in the lounge area that informs students of fellowships, employment, and scholarship opportunities specifically for graduate students. In addition, students have full access to El Centro's facilities, lounge, computers and meetings space.

Practicums and Special Projects
El Centro works independently with graduate students to assist with practicum hours or special research projects. Examples of past projects with El Centro include the following:

  • Fieldwork Practicum hours/credit for graduate students in the PASA (Post Secondary & Student Affairs) program with the Rossier School of Education
  • Recruitment of participants (undergraduate and parents) for surveys and research projects

Graduate students interested in working with El Centro can contact William N. Vela, Director at wvela@usc.edu.
