LOS ANGELES GAY & LESBIAN CENTER
The Los Angeles area has so many great resources, one such influential organization is The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Village at Ed Gould Plaza at 1125 N. McCadden Place in Los Angeles, CA 90038 provides free services such as confidential weekly group meetings. A few important meetings from this location are listed below:Gay Men’s Speakeasy: A weekly discussion group for men of all ages, shapes and sizes. Each week provides an hour of open chat. Tuesday 8-9:30pm
Lesbian Chat: Support group for womyn experiencing issues related to their sexual identity. Tuesdays, 8-9:30 pm
Transgender Perceptions: A supportive place for transgender education and awareness. First and third Fridays of every month, 8-9:30 pm
Step Programs include: Women's AA (Wednesdays 8-9 pm), Crystal Meth Anonymous (Saturdays 9:10-10:10am), Narcotics Anonymous (Thursdays 8-9 pm), Marijuana Anonymous (Wednesdays 8:15-9:45 pm & Saturdays 10:30 am-12 pm), and much more!

AIDS PROJECT LOS ANGELES (APLA)
APLA provides HIV/AIDS education the greater Los Angeles community. They have two main offices within L.A., the David Geffen Center (611 S. Kingsly Dr.) and APLA Dental Services (1127 Wilshire Blvd.). They offer free services such as HIV Education forums, case managements services, work service programs and much more. In addition, APLA is a great place to volunteer and help those individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. For more information call 213.201.1600. -
LAMBDA LEGAL
Lambda services include registering as domestic partners, adoption, employee benefits, and answering any other legality questions. It is located on 6030 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 200. Call 323.937.2728 for more information.

FREE HIV TESTING SITES
Fortunately, there are many free and anonymous HIV testing locations within the Los Angeles area. The center has put together a few local locations and contact information for clinics around campus, click here. Also, the new Planned Parenthood near campus (400 West 30th St.) provides free HIV and STDS testing. For more information, call 213.284.3200
L.A. Shanti is a volunteer organization that works with diverse commuities afectted by HIV, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Shanti provides emotional support, prevention and educational sessions.
