Graphic Identity Program

Strengthening Our Visual Communications

We in the USC Division of Student Affairs are committed to creating an integrated learning environment for all USC students. In order to do so, our programs and services must project an engaging and coherent image. Through consistent, high-quality communication material, we will build recognition among students, parents, colleagues and our community.

In this manual, I present you with our new graphic identity program guidelines. In the past, all our visual communications were created individually with little sense that each program was part of a larger division-wide effort to enrich the student experience at USC. These standards are intended to address that shortcoming. They provide the tools to convey our messages in a bold, friendly and professional manner.

The graphic identity program has been designed with the flexibility to address the complexities of our various departments and their communication needs. Conscientious and consistent use of the identity components – signatures, color palette, typography and formats – will increase awareness of our programs and services and ensure successful communication materials.

Please share this manual with all colleagues and vendors who produce publications – both print and electronic. Through these guidelines, together we will strengthen our communications as we support the development of our students.
