Michael L. Jackson, Ed.D.
Michael L. Jackson, vice president for student affairs and enrollment services, provides leadership for USC's comprehensive array of student life and admission and financial aid programs.
The division of student affairs and enrollment services serves 32,000 students through the dedicated work of 500 professional and support staff and more than 400 student employees. Michael, who also holds a courtesy appointment as professor of higher education in the Rossier School of Education, came to USC in 1995 from Stanford University, where he served as dean of students.
Currently, Michael serves on accreditation teams for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and as a trustee and member of the executive committee of the Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California. Previously, he was president of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, the leading voice for student affairs administration, policy and practice in the United States with more than 1,200 college and university institutional members and 11,000 professional members.
Michael is a member of the California Educational Facilities Authority. He earned his undergraduate degree with distinction in anthropology from Stanford University and his masters and doctorate degrees in educational administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
