Ehte Bahiru is a senior majoring in Neuroscience. A native of Los Angeles, Ehte arrived to the University of Southern California after graduating from Manual Arts Senior High School in South Central LA.
A graduate from the USC Neighborhood Academic Initiative and a former McNair Scholar, “Ehte has exemplified service, leadership, and academic excellence on and off campus by continuing to challenge herself academically while still finding the time to serve the local community,” says Jeanette Acosta, 2007-2008 NTSAF Governing Board Chair.
As a statement of her academic achievement, Ehte earned membership to Nu Rho Psi, the USC Neuroscience Honor Society. In addition, she has served as a student representative in a subcommittee through the USC Health Curriculum Program. Through this experience, Ehte had the opportunity to review the curriculum used by academic departments. In the near future, Ehte would like to attend a top tier medical school.
To her, the best part of being part of the Topping family “is knowing there are people who truly care about [her] and want [her] to succeed in school and life.” |
