Bertrand R. Perdomo-Ucles is a freshman pursuing a degree in Policy, Planning, and Development. A native of South Los Angeles, Bertrand arrived to the University of Southern California after graduating from Manual Arts Senior High School in 2007.
Prior to USC, Bertrand was heavily involved in grassroots projects designed to improve the local community. Most notably, he served as a Family Planning Certified Health Education and lobbied for an increase in school based health centers throughout the state of California. In addition, Bertrand served as Manual Arts’ 2006-2007 ASB President and as a soccer coach for neighborhood kids.
Despite being on campus for a few weeks, Bertrand has already developed a positive rapport with different USC administrators. “Bertrand is an outstanding young man with much energy and enthusiasm to make a difference in his community. It is easy to forget that Bertrand is only a freshman; his presence and commitment to excellence carries through in all that he does” says Domenika Lynch, Executive Director for the Mexican American Alumni Association.
To Bertrand, the best part of the Topping Family are the “Topping Scholars and the Staff.” |
