Dean Varun Soni

USC welcomes new Dean of Religious Life, Varun Soni. He is the first Hindu spiritual leader on a U.S. campus and is an expert on comparative religion, law and ethics. He brings a broad and impressive range of life experience. Provost Max Nikias said,"Dean Soni will bring together the spiritual and scholarly resources of the university, provide moral and ethical leadership for the USC community and work closely with the 70 student religious groups and 35 Religious Directors on campus."

Dean Soni is responsible for religious life at USC. In the following pages you will find information and resources including a listing of Religious Directors for the various faiths represented on campus, along with student groups and contacts, and a calendar of campus events. If you don't see what you are looking for, be sure to call us at (213) 740-6110 and ask.

The Office of Religious Life sponsors a variety of opportunities for exploring the spiritual dimensions of your life and learning. We can help you find a religious home base or form a new group, handle an ethical dilemma or research a paper topic.

If you have a question concerning faith or another aspect of your life, please don't hesitate to ask Dean Soni directly. You may call him at (213) 740-6110 or visit the Office of Religious Life in the University Religious Center, room 106 (next to the Student Health Center).
