Trojan Parents Weekend
A record number of parents have registered to attend Trojan Parents Weekend. More than 4,300 parents are expected at the three-day weekend, up from 1,700 parents in 2003 when the Office for Parent Programs first hosted the event.
The weekend is packed with dozens of events, including conversations with celebrity parents Kathy Lee and Frank Gifford, a tailgate picnic and football game against Oregon State and chances for parents to attend classes with their students.
A soft registration will begin on Thursday, October 22, for parents who have already arrived on campus. The official registration will begin Friday, October 23, at the Parents Pavillion located in Herklotz Plaza. Breakfasts with various school deans will kick off the festivities on Friday, followed by an address by President Sample at 11 a.m. in Bovard Auditorium.
