SJACS Appoints New Associate Director

Josh Watson has joined the Office of Student Judicial Affairs and Community Standards (SJACS) as the new associate director.

Previously a residence coordinator (RC) at New and North Residential Colleges for the Office for Residential Education, Watson started his new position on May 12. He has been working at USC for four years.

Watson’s responsibilities as associate director include acting as a “hearing officer,” which involves meeting with students who are in violation of the student conduct code, and training staff members.

In his new position, Watson looks forward to learning a lot and collaborating with colleagues.

“I am really impressed so far,” says Watson. “When I was an RC, my goal each day was to make an impact with students. In this job, I hope to continue to do that.”

Watson earned a master’s degree in postsecondary administration and student affairs from the Rossier School of Education and is currently enrolled in the Ed.D. program.
