Abi Ingleton

Abi Ingleton, director of the Undergraduate Success Program, has been an integral part of USC for seven years.

A native New Yorker, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Hunter College, City University of New York, and her master’s degree in higher education administration from Teachers College, Columbia University.

As director of the Undergraduate Success Program, Abi supports the students who are recipients of the Neighborhood Academic Achievement (NAI) scholarship and manages the tutorial and learning assistance service available through the Center for Academic Support.

Currently, Abi is coordinating the fourth annual Graduate School Conference. Abi started the conference, which is geared toward first-generation college students, for NAI scholars four years ago. It has since grown to include the Topping and SCholar students as well. This year’s theme is “An Undergraduate’s Offensive Playbook to Graduate School.”

Eventually, Abi would like to open the conference to all first-generation college students.

Abi’s commitment to helping students succeed comes from the students themselves. “Their ambition and drive continue to motivate and inspire me,” she says.

Abi is a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and the treasurer for the Council of Academic Advisors (CAA) at USC.
