Adam Wong, a junior from West Covina, California, is one of two new orientation coordinators hired by Orientation Programs.

As an orientation coordinator, Adam will be busy hiring and training new orientation advisors and preparing for the mid-year orientation sessions in December and January.

A major in business administration and minor in sociology, Adam is involved in many organizations on campus. “I love that USC has so many opportunities and events available to students and the community around,” said Adam.

He is an active member of the Undergraduate Student Government, and recently helped USC raise more than $38,000 for the AIDS Walk Los Angeles. His latest project is working on the Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness.

“There are not many places where you can you see Quincy Jones, Bruce Willis, Hot Hot Heat, Snoop Dog, Marcus Allen, Mayor Villaraigosa and Rachel Bilson all in the same place [during] the same calendar year,” said Adam. “Not only is it great to see all these prominent figures in their respective fields, but also at USC, I feel like we are being molded to be just as great in whatever we do in life.”

After graduating in May 2008, Adam is planning to either pursue a career that integrates his passion in sports and the business world by seeking a job with ESPN or Nike, or continue his education by applying for the Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs (PASA) program at USC.
