Eddie Roth
As director of Disability Services and Programs, USC alumnus Eddie Roth consults and supports faculty concerned with providing the best possible services for disabled students and leads in-service educational seminars for both his professional and student staff.
Eddie, who earned a doctoral degree in international/intercultural education and masters degree in East Asian area studies from USC, took charge of Disability Services and Programs in August 2004. His primary responsibility is to administer programs that provide access to students with disabilities. Currently, his office is working on making their services available online. Also in the works is a plan to itemize building accessibility.
Disability Services and Programs works to provide access to the wide array of students with disabilities, Eddie explained. We counsel students, provide academic accommodations and support, and provide resources and support for faculty and staff.
Before returning to USC, Eddie worked in Africa with orphan children and with Semester at Sea, a program that offers educational programs in international education on a cruise ship. His professional affiliations include the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD).
