Hannah Fetting
Hannah Fetting believes that students can make a difference through their participation in volunteer and leadership opportunities at USC.
"I'm so fortunate to become involved in things I am passionate about. There really is no limit to what students can do. It is simply a matter of finding what you love," said Hannah, a sophomore from Baltimore, Maryland.
As assistant director of community affairs for Undergraduate Student Government (USG), Hannah works with committee members to organize volunteer activities and service events. During the fall semester, USG partnered with other student groups to host USC's annual Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
In addition to participating in community affairs, Hannah is a peer leadership consultant for Student Life and Involvement. She is currently involved with student organizations Invisible Children and Youth Exploring Passion. During the upcoming Alternative Spring Break, Hannah will serve as a team leader of the group that will travel to the Navajo Nation.
"Hannah spends hours upon hours helping students at the front desk of Topping and in the Peer Leadership Office," says fellow student and volunteer, Annie Roach.
Hannah is majoring in health promotion and disease prevention. After graduating in May 2009, Hannah plans to attend medical school or pursue graduate work in public health. Ultimately she'd like to work with an international health organization such as Doctors Without Borders, the Red Cross or the World Health Organization.
