Heather Larabee
“I think above and beyond the call of duty is Heather’s middle name, particularly related to life on campus,” said Associate Vice President of Student Affairs Lori White of Heather Larabee, director of campus activities.
Heather makes herself available day or night, whether in her office or on her cell phone. Last May, she was her commitment to serving the needs of USC students when she received the Student Affairs division award for Outstanding Dedication and Service.
A graduate of the University of West Florida with a major in marketing, Heather later received her Master of Education from the University of Florida and is currently working on her doctorate at USC. She is a member of the National Association of Campus Activities and the Association of College Unions International.
In Heather’s view, Campus Activities works to bridge the gap between curricular and co-curricular student experiences. “I like to think that we enhance the students’ educational experience while they have a good time and learn invaluable skills to take with them when they leave USC,” she says.
Currently, Heather is working on Homecoming 2006, CONQUEST and Order of the Torch selections. She is also in the process of establishing REAL (Redefining Engagement in Active Leadership), a program focused on multicultural leadership development.
