As the new president of Panhellenic Council, Nicole Landa, a junior majoring in fine arts with an emphasis in design, is eager to improve sorority relations.

Currently, she meets with chapter presidents on a regular basis to discuss ideas and concerns. She is also working toward bringing back Greek Week and helping Sigma Delta Tau to transition into the USC national Panhellenic community.

Previously, Nicole was the vice president of athletics for the Panhellenic Executive Board and has been actively involved in her sorority as sports chairman and social committee member.

Apart from her involvement with the greek system, Nicole is an intern at Hillel where she plans programs for students, such as a recent concert featuring students who performed comedy and music.

She is also a member of the USC Marathon Team and the USC Dance Club and has volunteered at JEP and for an alternative spring break trip to help out in Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

“Nicole’s enthusiasm and Panhellenic spirit are hallmarks of her leadership style,” says Beth Saul, director of Parent Programs.

A member of Mortar Board, Order of Omega, Rho Lambda and Gamma Sigma Alpha honor societies, Nicole will graduate in the spring of 2008 and plans to go to graduate school and pursue a career as a graphic designer or art director.

“After visiting USC during my junior year of high school, I knew that it was where I wanted to go to college,” says Nicole. “It is the perfect environment for students who want to study hard and also have a little fun on the side.”
