Paige Reilly, a senior from Hackensack, New Jersey, majoring in American studies and ethnicity with a minor in music industry, has joined Orientation Programs as an orientation coordinator (OC).

“Paige brings such a wealth of knowledge and experience to the OC role,” says Tom Studdert, director of Orientation Programs. “As an orientation advisor, Paige was the ultimate team-player—always helping when necessary and leading the charge when folks were tired. She will make an amazing OC this year.”

As an orientation advisor (OA) in 2006, Paige “had the best time.” “I want to help other OAs have that much fun, too,” says Paige., “and I want everyone to know what great a school we have.”

In addition to her work with Orientation Programs, Paige serves as a campus tour guide, a student mentor for LEAD and a host for the College of Letters, Arts and Science’s College Ambassadors program.

“USC gives me a lot,” says Paige. “It’s my way of giving back and helping the USC community.”

Paige’s interests also involve singing; she is a member and the manager of Troytones Acapella, “a great group of people who don’t sing for money or fame—just for fun.”

When she graduates next spring, Paige plans to return to Prague, where she studied last spring, to gain more cultural experience.. “I won’t have any time or leniency in my schedule for much culture later on, so I want to take advantage of this freedom while I can,” says Paige.

After traveling, she plans to move to New York City and is considering attending graduate school., but Paige considers her philosophy a little different from other students. “Most people I know are so worried about what their next accomplishment is going to be, but I don’t think we need to know what we want to do with our lives right away,” she explains.

Once she graduates, Paige knows she’ll miss walking around campus and having to give herself “ten extra minutes to get to class” to allow time to talk to people she knows. “Everything about this campus reminds me that this is where I met so many friends. I can’t wait to tell people that this was my campus. This is where I grew up.”
