Stephanie Anderson

Stephanie Anderson

Stephanie Anderson, a junior from Brandon, Mississippi majoring in mathematics, was recently hired by Orientation Programs as the new session coordinator.

In this position, Stephanie helps set up and organize orientation programming. “I love organizing things,” says Stephanie. “Working behind the scenes is something I really enjoy.”

Stephanie also serves as an orientation advisor, helping lead this year’s incoming students through the orientation process.

“The group of orientation advisors is really close,” says Stephanie. “I have become close friends with a lot of people I normally wouldn’t have even met. It’s a good opportunity to learn about other people.”

Stephanie’s campus involvement doesn’t stop there. A member of her sorority since freshman year, she’s currently vice president of social standards and is responsible for risk management. She is also a member of USC College Republicans and participated in the JEP program with her environmental studies class as a freshman.

“The JEP program is such a great opportunity,” says Stephanie. “My class went to the 32nd Street School once a week to work on projects and teach the kids how to help the environment.”

After she graduates, Stephanie plans to go to graduate school to study economics or pursue a career as an actuary in the insurance industry.

“There are no limitations at USC,” says Stephanie. “There is nothing holding you back from doing what you want and being who you want to be.”
