Vanessa Adams
Vanessa Adams, a senior majoring in business administration with an emphasis in cinema-television and a concentration in real estate finance, has served as a student coordinator for the annual Swim With Mike event for the past four years.
As a student coordinator, Vanessa directs more than 100 student volunteers, promotes the event both on- and off-campus, solicits donations from corporations, sells advertisements and writes and edits a newsletter. Swim With Mike is USC’s largest philanthropic event, raising $825,000 in 2006. This year’s event took place on Saturday, April 14.
Vanessa, who is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and a Laguna Niguel native, says her favorite thing about USC is “the lifelong network of friends and family that transcends the normal four-year college experience.”
After she graduates this May, Vanessa plans to start a career in commercial real estate brokerage.
