START MAKING CONNECTIONS

between ideas and their applications through original research.

Imagine yourself one of ten undergraduates working with a College Professor and a Post-doctoral Fellow on original research in the natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities. Or imagine a class entirely structured around your ability to work as a team in meeting an academic challenge, or a class where you become the professor, as you work collaboratively to design an exciting new College course.

USC College’s exciting new programs in undergraduate team research allow you to produce new knowledge, as you work with faculty and your fellow undergraduates in an intellectually intense, yet informal way. They help you acquire the theoretical and methodological tools that will allow you to engage your faculty on a new level, to get more out of your courses and share your academic experience with your peers. And they teach you the basics of interdisciplinary inquiry, to be applied to a work of original research

For the 2006-2007 academic year, USC College is offering three different opportunities for students to become involved in collaborative research: Team Research Communities, Challenge Courses, and Course Development Seminars.  Find out more information by clicking on each one.
