Michael Z. Wincor, associate professor and director of external programs at the USC School of Pharmacy, won the 10th Annual Saklad Memorial Lecture Award at the national meeting of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists in Colorado Springs.

The Saklad Award commemorates the life and work of the late Judith J. Saklad, a founding member of the College.

The recipient of the award embodies the qualities and ideals of professional enthusiasm and a passion for optimal patient care.

A seven-time Professor of the Year at the USC School of Pharmacy, Wincor coordinates the central nervous system therapeutics module and teaches an elective in sleep disorders.

Wincor is a founding member of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacy. He is a former member of the California Pharmacists Association board of trustees and a previous chair of the editorial review committee of California Pharmacist.
