Review

The main benefit of this "blue" page is that a large collection of art exhibits and collections can be reached through links from this site. While many index-type pages ("blue pages"), like this one, are just a product of someone's ego, this page provides a useful service. Each entry gives a small amount of information about an exhibit or Web museum and provides a link to the site.

The exhbitis are divided up into the following categories: Recent Recommended Additions, Selected Virtual Exhibitions, World, USA, Art Galleries, Library Exhibits, Information, Further Lists and Links, Contacts, Announcement, and Old Museums Page. It is unclear from looking at this site who exactly has recommended the additions and selected the exhibitions, but the implication is that either the users of the page by virtue of clicking on links, or the owner have made the selections.

The exhibits that are divided up geographically into two parts: USA and World, then further under various submenus are organized this way exclusively for space reasons.

The Art Galleries link has an incredibly rich selection of choices that include the St. Petersburg Pictures Gallery, the Andy Warhol Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art and Atelier Nord's Electronic Gallery. The list of viewing possiblities goes on for more than four screens and includes public museums, as well as private galleries.

Notes:

There are few graphics at this site itself, but the links, of course all contain graphics. The images and graphics used on this Home Page are small. Users with text only browsers should have little difficulty accessing this particular page. This is hosted at a UK site and I had trouble staying connected after noon. All links that I tested worked perfectly.
