Carol Kim

Vice President for Enrollment Management

Carol Kim is vice president for enrollment management at USC. Appointed in February 2026, she leads the university’s enrollment strategy and advances USC’s commitment to academic excellence and access.

Kim joins USC from New York University, where she oversaw recruitment, admissions and financial aid across NYU’s global network of campuses and sites. As vice president for global recruitment, admissions and financial aid, she led a team of 172 professionals, guided the annual review of 120,000 applications and managed a financial aid budget of more than $500 million. She also implemented the NYU Promise, a tuition-free program for families earning less than $100,000.

Before NYU, Kim served as senior vice provost for enrollment management and strategic partnerships and senior vice president for global partnerships at The New School, where she launched the university’s Global Offsite program during the pandemic and expanded global partnerships, including a Parsons precollege program in Shanghai. Over more than 25 years in higher education, she has held several inaugural roles, including vice president for international relations at CalArts, where she led global strategy, launched the institution’s first online course and expanded international visibility, and vice president for planning and communications for YueCheng Education in Beijing.

Kim earned an Ed.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from New York University. She is also a graduate of Harvard University’s Institute for Management and Leadership in Education.
