Megan Jordan was appointed senior vice president and chief communications officer in September 2026, after serving in the role in an interim capacity since January 2026. Previously, she served as vice president of executive communications and strategic initiatives. In her role, Megan works closely with the Office of the President to direct key executive-level communications and put a sharper focus on university messaging, the president’s strategic initiatives and the positioning of the university. To support this work, she developed synthetic audiences using AI to create virtual focus groups to refine USC’s communications strategies.

Megan joined USC from Claremont McKenna College, where she served as chief communications and marketing officer. Prior, she held corporate communications leadership roles with Southern California Edison, Herbalife and Kaiser Permanente, among others. She also spent a decade advising executive leadership with clients Nestlé, General Motors, Hilton, Kia and Philips while with global public relations firms MSL, Cohn & Wolfe, and Zeno Group.

She earned her B.A. in public relations from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, where she has continued to teach as an adjunct professor. Megan has served on USC Annenberg’s Public Relations Board of Advisors since 2018. She boasts 18 Trojans among her extended family, including three of her four children.
