Rene Pak

Chief of Staff

Rene Pak was appointed Chief of Staff on July 1, 2019. In her role, Pak is responsible for the overall management of the Office of the President, overseeing its many essential administrative and operations functions. A vital partner of the president, Pak is the primary contact for the office, helping the president advance the mission of the university.

Pak joined USC in 2012, contributing significantly to the operational success of the Keck School of Medicine of USC, where she was eventually promoted to the role of chief of staff in the Dean’s office. During her tenure at Keck School of Medicine of USC, Pak provided direction for a variety of initiatives, including her critical administrative leadership in creating the school’s most recent 10-year strategic plan in 2017. She also was known for her ability to cultivate relationships among the school’s many offices and departments.

Prior to joining USC, Pak worked in the finance and marketing industries, assisting institutions such as East West Bank and the Gartner Group in expanding business opportunities and capitalizing on international partnerships.

Pak holds bachelor’s degrees in international relations and East Asian languages and cultures from the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.
